As the Executive Sous Chef, you will be responsible for actively ensuring a superior guest experience through excellent food. Supporting our co-founder, Sal Basille, and the entire team, you will organize, plan, and direct activities in all aspects of the kitchen employees, menu support, equipment, and back of house operations. In addition, the Executive Sous Chef will actively embody, inspire and teach skills that will elevate the core values, mission and vision of Sally Boys.

What will you bring to the table?

  • 4+ years of sous chef experience in a high volume, detail-oriented and excellence driven environment.
  • You must have extensive culinary knowledge (preferably a culinary degree).
  • If you have multi-unit experience, pizza making abilities, and/or catering experience, that’s a plus!

The Lead Barista will be responsible for the creation, preparation and training of team members of all espresso, coffee and tea based beverages. In addition, the Lead Barista will work with the GM in creating a culture that provides memorable guest experiences, and cultivates relationships with regulars.

What will you bring to the table?

  • 3+ years of Barista experience, including formal Barista training, a strong knowledge of coffee & tea, and experience in latte art.
  • You will also have proven ability to lead and train team members.
  • A valid Food Handler’s Certificate will be required or you will be willing to earn one.

As a Lead Baker/Pastry Cook, you will work closely with the Executive Sous Chef and other members of the Leadership team to create Sally Boy’s in house made breads, pastries and desserts.

What will you bring to the table?

  • You will have previous baking experience, including the creation of all bread related goods, pastries, and cookies.
  • Solid understanding of professional baking and bread formulas.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.

Our Pizza Maker will work closely with co-founder Sal Basille, the Executive Sous Chef, and other members of the Leadership team to create a world class pizza program, including focaccia, calzones, and rolls!

What will you bring to the table?

  • 5+ years of experience in a high volume, multi-style pizza restaurant.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently work multiple ovens.
  • Ability to mix, scale, and shape various sizes and styles of pizza dough.

Working closely with the Back-of-House management team, as a Line Cook you will drive service each day and inspire team members to work together and hold one another accountable to the standards set.

You will have multiple back of house responsibilities, including kitchen operations (food preparation, use and maintenance of kitchen equipment, storing all mise en place along with labeling and dating) and will help maintain compliance with Health Department standards, cleanliness, efficiency and overall excellence.

What will you bring to the table?

  • 2+ years of experience working in kitchens and/or service in a restaurant.
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations (equipment usage, time management).
  • Problem-solving and delegation skills.

Our Retail Associates will work closely with the Front of House and Pizza Making teams to ensure guest satisfaction, and will be required to maintain the standards set by the Director of Operations and the rest of the leadership team.  You will also be responsible for cash and cashless transactions, packaging take-out/to-go orders, answering phones, and interacting with customers while maintaining Sally Boy’s “As If” philosophy of hospitality.

What will you bring to the table?

  • 6 months or more experience in a customer facing role in a restaurant or high end retail environment.
  • Problem-solving and delegation skills.
  • Having worked in a restaurant or prepared food market is a plus!
